Holmes Elementary
We’re on the bus as we head off to the A.C. Mr. Robinson gives off the safety instructions. Then we all ram into the locker rooms. I make sure to pick a locker by Beth’s. We rush into our suits and waltz back into public view. Once it’s free time,(after the water slide, of course) the lily pads is where I’m headed. This kind of lily pads is fun, because we run right into each other. Then it was time to go and we packed up our things and left.
The 4th Grade Store!!! 4th Grade Store is a store that only 4th graders get to buy stuff at. Here are 4 different categories.
1.($.25) This is the small stuff. Things like stickers and smarties and mini-notebooks and tatoos are here.
2.($1.00) This is a little bigger. Things like McDonald’s toys are here along with some more expensive candy.
3.($5.00) This is pretty big. Here you can get some small stuffed animals and some cool toys. Probably some candy too.
4.($10.00) This is the big stuff. Here are bigger stuffed animals, balloons, kaleidescopes, and more candy.

We have been exploring websites for kids. There are many websites out on the internet that kids learn, explore, connect with other kids, and play!
My choice is a website that has a math arcade, reading and mad libs, a playground of games, and all the games included!
I like it because I don’t like math, but the Math Arcade makes it fun!

We have been working on book talks for our Holmes Book Fair. I read and wrote a book talk for Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Operation: Huttlet By Steele Tyler Filipek. It is science fiction and is about Ahsoka and her Master Anikan are to save the huttlet Rotta. But how?!?

I have a book baggie book that I can read independently. I want to share some information with you about my book.
The title of my book is Judy Moody: Around the World in 8 1/2 Days.
It is written by Megan McDonald.
So far it’s about Mr. Todd telling the class that they are going to study traditions of the world.
It takes place during the school year.
One of my favorite characters is Stink.
Because you never know what he’ll do next.
I would recommend this book because it tells about traditions all over the world.

3 days ago it was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We watched a movie where it told of Martin. His real name was acually George! He also was a pastor, had a wife and 3 kids, and was fighting for freedom. I think that that’s a lot to juggle for one man. Here’s my favorite part of his speech:
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!”

When we go to the Aquatic Center you can have lots of fun. I’ll give you a tour. Lazy River. NOT LAZY!!!!!!! When you go in, you’re swept away by the strong current. There’s a whirlpool and if you go in you start well, whirling around. You’ll be lucky to get out. Now I have enough time to tell you the WATERSLIDE!!!!! It’s really fun. Go in and it’s pitch black. Just don’t stall it because it takes out a lot of fun for everyone else. That’s a little bit of the A. C. for ya’. Bye!
Splat! is how a lot of people are ending up on the playground. I have done this a whole lot of times. Ice has almost completely taken over. Right now people are slipping as they get on and off the bus! I came to school today as usual and slipped! So I skated down to the snow hills, and started to walk thigh deep in snow. The bell rang and pulled me out of my thoughts. So to say DON’T RUN WHERE THE BUSES PICK PEOPLE UP!!! So please, watch out for the dumb ice. It’s slippery.
